Major General Shafeenul Islam terms the shooting incident as unwarranted

The director general of BGB, Major General Shafeenul Islam said that the 12 February's clash between villagers and a BGB team was unwarranted.

The BGB DG met with the police and administration officials in Thakurgaon and said a high powered five-member committee led by a BGB deputy director has been constituted to look into it. Based on this report, action will be taken against anyone responsible.

The meeting was held at the Circuit House. Major General Shafeenul Islam also urged everyone to do their best in protecting the country’s borders. Source of information: Dhaka Tribune
