Border Guards Bangladesh conducts joint exercise with BSF

The Border Guards Bangladesh took part in a confidence building joint exercise with Indian BSF.
The border forces of Bangladesh and India completed the three-day joint exercise under the banner - Mainamati Maitree Exercise 2019. It was conducted in the Brahmanbaria-Tripura border. The air of the program was to gain conduct joint operational efficiency on anti-smuggling and anti-criminal activities.
The three-day joint exercise is an effort to build confidence between Border Guards Bangladesh and the BSF.
A number of confidence building measures were in place after tensions ran high over entry of 31 Rohingyas from India in January. This joint exercise part of the confidence building measures.
