224 years of the border force

Border Guard Bangladesh is safeguarding the border of the land for last 224 years. Its glorified history continues.

On 18 December 2019, it marked BGB Day 2019.

Over the many decades, the force stopped smuggling of drugs, trafficking of children and protected people of the land with patriotism, honesty and efficiency.

Under the leadership of current DG Major General Shafeenul Islam, Border Guard Bangladesh has become a well disciplined force than ever before. The force is more vigilant now.

Currently BGB is setting up smart digital surveillance and tactical response system and constructing a 317 kilometre long road along the border of Khagrachhari, Rangamati and Bandarban. The force is also in the process of incorporating modern helicopters 12 armoured personnel carriers and 10 riot control vehicles.
